THE STEPHEN STANLEY BAND: VIDEOS FROM 'BEFORE THE COLLAPSE OF THE HIVE'

The first two singles from The Stephen Stanley Band's powerful 2024 album, "Before the Collapse of the Hive." The album was recorded at The Post Office Studio on Wolfe Island, ON, under the skilled production of Hugh Christopher Brown.

"Chase that Devil," directed by Sean Ryan, captures the essence of misinformation in modern society. The video delves into themes of deceit and manipulation that permeate our everyday lives, challenging viewers to question the often unchallenged lies that shape political and social landscapes. The title “Chase that Devil” was a direct quote from a Canadian politician who was asked to describe the basis of what he will do when elected. Without hesitation he answered, “I will chase that devil out of this country.”

In "Hey Darlene," we find a lighter, yet equally introspective exploration of societal issues. Shot on location at Morning Parade coffee bar in Toronto's East End, this video brings to life the struggles against the destructive power of gossip. The video was directed and edited by Edward Pond, an accomplished cinematographer and commercial photographer who is also songwriter and bassist in Toronto rock outfit The Conscience Pilate.
